The Locale

Villa Aiko is located on a hill overlooking the seaside village of Jimbaran and is just a short drive from the calm and safe white-sand beaches of Jimbaran Bay. After a day on the beach, sample some of the island’s freshest seafood at the local beachside warungs, where the tables are set on the sand. Wash down the catch of the day with an iced beer while watching one of Bali’s famous sunsets. The area around Villa Aiko is also home to many five-star resorts offering the ultimate in fine dining. And the championship standard, 18-hole New Kuta Golf course, with its dramatic cliff-top setting, is only four kilometres from the villa. Things to Do

  1. A visit to the nearby famous 11th century Uluwatu temple is an absolute must at sunset; and make sure you take in a captivating performance of the traditional Kecak dance, which is held every afternoon at the temple.
  2. Learn to surf at the nearby Padang Padang surf school. Their instructors are great with kids and beginners.
  3. Enjoy a sunset dinner at one of the many seafood warungs dotted along Jimbaran Bay and be serenaded by a band of strolling musicians.
  4. Play a round at the spectacular the New Kuta Golf Course, with its stunning views over the Indian Ocean.
  5. Take the kids to Jengalla Ceramics and they can paint a plate whilst you do some home wares shopping
  6. Indulge yourself at the Bamboo Spa by L’Occitane in Jimbaran.
  7. If you are a bold and brave bargain hunter, a spree within the heart of Bali’s bustling provincial capital is an exciting and rewarding experience. Visit the vibrant Denpasar markets, where everything and anything is available.
